BIG RACE FLYAWAY 2013 CONTEST RULES
Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Texas residents who are 21 years of age or older, reside in the KABB-TV and KMYS-TV viewing area, and be an existing user of Facebook.com.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station KABB-TV and KMYS-TV (the “Station”), WOAI, Texas Motor Speedway, Inc., Direct Auto Insurance, San Antonio Area Chevy Dealers, American Home Express, Furnish 123, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, Facebook, Inc., facebook.com, each of their respective affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and each of their respective employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, members, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. NASCAR, Inc., is not a sponsor of this promotion.
How to Enter
1. No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per household. Purchasing tickets or merchandise will not help you win. Your chances of winning without making a purchase are the same as the chances of someone who purchases something.
2. To enter, visit the FOX San Antonio or CW 35 Facebook page at www.facebook.com/foxsanantonio or www.facebook.com/cwsanantonio; “Like” the Facebook page which will allow access to the “Big Race Flyaway Contest” entry form located on the Big Race Flyaway contest tab on either station’s Facebook page. Complete the online entry form with your first and last name, address, phone number, and birth date. No mechanically reproduced or completed entries will be accepted.
3. The contest starts on Thursday, March 14, 2013 and all entries must be received by Station by 11:59 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
4. One (1) winner will be selected by random drawing from among valid entries on March 28, 2013.
5. All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. One (1) winner will be selected. The winner will receive a trip package which includes (i) two (2) tickets to the NASCAR Nationwide Series™, O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 race on April 12, 2013, (ii) two (2) tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™, Texas 500 race on April 13, 2013, (iii) two (2) VIP passes to Texas 500 race weekend, (iv) one (1) VIP parking pass for each race day, (v) two (2) roundtrip airfare tickets from San Antonio to Fort Worth, Texas, economy class, (vi) two (1) night hotel accommodations, on April 12, 2013 and April 13, 2013 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel in one non-smoking, double occupancy room, and (vii) $100 Visa Gift Card for rental car/transportation costs (April 12, 2013 and April 13, 2013). The trip package does not include any meals, gratuities, trip cancellation insurance, other transportation, baggage fees, miscellaneous airline fees, or any other expenses. The trip must be taken on April 12, 2013-April 14, 2013, and is subject to reservation. The trip package is valued at approximately one thousand five hundred fifty dollars ($1,550.00).
2. The winner will be notified by phone. Winner must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within two (2) days of notification at the time winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station. All persons traveling on the trip must be 21 years of age or over, unless travelers under 21 are accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal guardian of all of the minors. All persons traveling on the trip must also sign and return a release which must be returned with the winner’s release and affidavit of eligibility within the time frame specified above. Winner must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If the winner cannot be notified within two (2) days or does not timely sign and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner randomly selected from among remaining valid entries. .
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.
6. Only one prize will be awarded per household. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any thirty (30) day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.
7. San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize provider shall not be responsible for winner’s failure to take the trip within the time frame described above, or cancellation of the trip by the winner.
8. San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and Texas Motor Speedway, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that San Antonio Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at KABB/KMYS 4335 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78229 and on the Station’s website at www.foxsanantonio.com.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KABB/KMYS 4335 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78229 by April 15, 2013.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., San Antonio Television, LLC, Texas Motor Speedway, Inc, Direct Auto Insurance, San Antonio Area Chevy Dealers, American Home Express, Furnish 123, The Douglas Group, Inc. dba UPICKEM, and Facebook, Inc. accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information. Station is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest.
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
7. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the Station, any sponsors, Facebook.com, and their respective parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
8. Facebook, Inc. and www.facebook.com (collectively, “Facebook”) are not affiliated with the Station nor this contest. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook.
